Promote and preserve the Bangladeshi cultural heritage in the UK.
Even though the Bangladeshis are less than one percent of the total population in the UK, the community is very proud of its cultural heritage. The Bangladeshi Regeneration Council recognises that cultural heritage events such as the annual Birmingham Bangla Mela, provides a unique platform to communicate community’s progression and vision with the wider society. It is the day when the community share and appreciate the rich, diverse and common heritage that makes Bangladeshis proudly British.
The Bangladeshi Regeneration Council therefore support with the design and delivery of cultural heritage programmes and so far, have engaged 100K+ audiences through cultural heritage events. Let us also remind ourselves that Bangladeshi cultural heritage is defined by struggle, by courage, by perseverance, by a determination to overcome even the greatest of challenges. The Bangladeshi Regeneration Council is committed to recognise the progress that is being made and draw on the experiences to intensify community efforts to build a better life and give hope to those who are going through intense struggle to preserve their heritage across the globe.
